Rumble on the rock: Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin 2 – Redemption for Dillian Whyte as he knocks out Alexander Povetkin in the rematch!

‘The Body Snatcher’ was out there snatching souls.

Dillian Whyte put on a rapacious performance against Alexander Povetkin as he earned his revenge and eventually the WBC Interim Heavyweight title. Whyte seemed like a man on a mission from the word go, as he rocked Povetkin in the very first round. He repeated the same in the next few rounds that followed, with Povetkin sporadically landing partially-connecting shots. In the fourth round, Whyte then landed a massive punch, as a groggy Povetkin found it unable to beat the count, whilst stumbling across the ring.

Whyte had been doing exactly the same, the last time the pair met, in August 2020. But, Povetkin known for his two-handed counterpunching, landed a massive uppercut, shutting the lights out on Dillian. However, now the Brit has earned his revenge!

I am ready to run it back again‘ – Dillian Whyte

At the post fight interview, Whyte said, “I am ready to run it back again, if he wants it again. If he wants the rematch, I will fight again, because I shouldn’t have lost first time. I am annoyed at myself for losing the first time.” [H/T LowBro-Sports]

Later, Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn joined in and revealed that making the fight against Deontay Wilder happen is their next aim (probably in America). Wilder, initially kept ducking Whyte, when he was undefeated. But now, since he took a massive L at the hands of Tyson Fury, he has been calling out Dillian Whyte from time to time.

The Body Snatcher is back! Who do you think Whyte should face next?
