Ciryl ‘Bon Gamin’ Gane put on a dominant show against Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the main event of UFC Fight Night 186. The largely one-sided contest, saw the Frenchman winning the contest, with all the judges scoring 50-45.
Speaking at the post-fight interview, Gane said, “I don’t make a real big show for the fans. I got a big win, so I’m really happy for that. The guy was really tough. I just wanted to manage and I did it. I expected a little bit more from him — more attack…I was a little bit surprised for that.”
‘Great performance overall, not the show that I wanted to give to you guys’
Gane then took to Twitter, issuing a statement saying, “Great performance overall, not the show that I wanted to give to you guys but we come back to Paris with the win. I will do my very best to do better next time. Thank you all for this amazing support.”
The win will surely propel the 7th ranked heavyweight Ciryl Gane into the top 5 of the heavyweight division rankings. It will only be a matter of time before, we might probably see him fighting for the title. The Muay Thai artist is still unbeaten in his professional MMA career (8-0) and hasn’t shown any signs of weaknesses so far.
As for Rozenstruik, he will have to pick himself up from his second defeat in his career (11-2), and try to stay in contention.
