‘Whoever wins will fight Jon Jones at heavyweight’ – Dana White confirms the winner of Stipe Miocic vs. Francis Ngannou will take on Jon Jones
Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou face-off in a heavyweight title rematch later this month.
The UFC has been producing some absolutely cracking fights from time to time. The promotion along with the mastermind of its boss Dana White never fails to entertain the fans with some juicy matchups. One such matchup which will soon be taking place is the heavyweight title rematch between top heavyweights Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou.
Speaking in the recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, alongside Mike Tyson and Zab Judah, Dana White sounded really excited about the upcoming Miocic vs Ngannou bout. He further clarified that the winner of the fight will be taking on Jon Jones (which marks the heavyweight debut of Jon Jones).

Dana White was quoted as saying, “The fight that everybody wants to see. Stipe Miocic is going to fight Francis Ngannou. Stipe beat him once. And, they are doing the rematch. Whoever wins will fight Jon Jones at heavyweight. That is what everybody wants to see. Jon Jones’s first fight at heavyweight will be for the heavyweight title, against one of those guys.“
When Tyson asked who Dana thinks Jon Jones has a better chance against, Dana replied, “Haha. I don’t know man. It is hard to deny Jones. The guy has been one of the best in the world since he started. You guys know better than anybody, moving up a weight class especially with the big boys like that.”
Francis Ngannou and Stipe Miocic face-off at UFC 260 on the 27th of March, in a couple of weeks. Francis will be looking forward to making amends from his previous outing, 3 years ago, which he lost via. unanimous decision. Miocic, on the other hand, will be hoping that the heavyweight belt stays with him. Whoever wins, BONES awaits!
