YouTuber True Geordie gets starched by fans online for going after Jurgen Klopp following Newcastle’s loss against Liverpool
Fans were unforgiving after YouTuber True Geordie went on an expletive-laden rant at Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp
A rampant Liverpool had to withstand a few scares despite a dominating win over an out-of-form Newcastle United. In a match where their frontman Darwin Nunez was abysmal in front of the goal, the talismanic Mohamed Salah was right in the thick of things.
A first half which saw Newcastle’s shot-stopper Martin Dubravka put on an all-timer, including a Salah penalty save, had Liverpool fans anxious at the break. However, a few minutes into the second half the Egyptian magician opened the scoring, only for NUFC to hit back five minutes later with some clinical finishing from Alexander Isak.
Jurgen Klopp’s substitutions proved to be vital as they ended Liverpool’s search for a second goal – a Diogo Jota assist setting up Curtis Jones in a rather empty net. However, Newcastle still looked dangerous on the counter, with Anthony Gordon searing down the wings often.
A Cody Gakpo finish from a sublime Salah cross looked like the final nail in the coffin, with Liverpool going 3-1 up. But, Newcastle weren’t done as they pulled one back through Sven Botman.
With things set for a grandstand finish, Jota won a penalty which looked very controversial. Having been minutely clipped by Dubravka, the Portuguese appeared to go down pretty late, earning heat from a large chunk of football pundits.
The penalty was awarded, and Salah made up for his earlier missed penalty to make it 4-2 to Liverpool.

YouTuber True Geordie, as his name suggests, is one of the biggest supporters of Newcastle United. With Liverpool fans and Jurgen Klopp often complaining about being undone by VAR and Diogo Jota being awarded an allegedly weak penalty, the YouTuber lost his ‘head.’
