‘When I feel like the price is right, Triple C will be back’ – Henry Cejudo teases comeback
Triple C recently removed his name from the USADA testing pool.
Henry Cejudo removed his name from the USADA testing pool recently, which all but confirmed his UFC exit. Although, one can come back, despite removing their name from the testing pool; a minimum of 6 months waiting time is a must after re-registering.
Speaking in a recent interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN, Henry Cejudo revealed that he would come out of retirement if the ‘price is right’.
‘The guy with gold makes the world‘
Henry Cejudo was quoted as saying, “Well, the king will return if the price is right; now because you know everybody’s gotta price, everyone’s gotta price of gold and that’s it, man. When it’s right, when I feel like it’s right – the guy with gold makes the world… When I feel like it’s right, Triple C will be back!” [H/T LowBro-Sports]
Cejudo retired from MMA after beating Dominick Cruz, via knockout at UFC 249. The former double champion, immediately announced his retirement after his victory and relinquished his titles a few days later. Although, Cejudo had been hinting at a possibility of a comeback from retirement, he never did so. All ‘Triple C’ did was calling out a plethora of opponents, irrespective of their weight classes.
Now that Cejudo has removed his name from the USADA testing pool, possibly due to financial reasons, he will probably only comeback if he gets a lucrative deal.
