DMX passes away; tributes flood in from the combat sports community!

DMX – A truckload of songs that would hype even a non-living entity up!

‘Stop, drop, shut ’em down, open up shop. Oh, no, that’s how Ruff Ryders roll!’ – Rest in Power DMX. The New York-based rapper who dominated the late 90’s and the early 2000’s died after multiple organ failure due to accidental drug overdose. His life has always been a struggle with the devil, drugs and spirituality.

Known for producing some of the coldest verses in rap history, a number of combat sports warriors have walked out to his songs – notably Mike Tyson, Anderson Silva, Chuck Liddell. Who can forget Mike Tyson walking into DMX’s It’s dark and hell is hot intro against Francois Botha, and Anderson Silva walking into Ain’t no Sunshine at UFC 162. A lot of people from the combat sports community paid tribute to the deceased rapper. Here are a select few of them.

‘DMX I’ll forever be your fan’

RIP X!
