‘I’m gonna bang him up until I can bang him up no more’ – Kevin Holland warns Derek Brunson ahead of fight night main event

Kevin Holland will be looking forward to keeping his juggernaut rolling, come Saturday.

Kevin Holland

Kevin Holland who has been away from the octagon for more than three months (quite a long time by Kevin Holland’s standards) will be itching to get back when he takes on Derek Brunson in the main event of the upcoming UFC Fight Night. The ‘Trailblazer’ had a cracker of a 2020, raking up 5 wins (and no losses), just like it was a piece of cake.

Speaking in an interview with BT Sport, Kevin Holland revealed that he would have it easy against Derek Brunson. He claimed that none of Brunson’s tricks would work against him, adding that he ‘would shoot his right hand, if Brunson went for a takedown’.

‘Somebody’s getting popped‘ – Kevin Holland

Kevin Holland was quoted as saying, “I got this bullet tattooed on my right arm, right? It’s like a sniper. I’m gonna bang him up until I can bang him up no more! He’s gonna shoot for takedown and I’m gonna shoot my right hand. Somebody’s getting popped! That’s all I know.”

Kevin Holland is coming off a massive KO victory over UFC veteran Jacare Souza at UFC 256. The punch Holland landed to knock Jacare out, whilst in a seated position, exemplifies the power the number 10 ranked middleweight brings to the table. Out of the 5 victories, 4 have been knockouts (with three first-round finishes).

His opponent, Derek Brunson, has been in quite a roll, as well. He is coming off a knockout victory over previously undefeated Edmen Shahbazyan, which took his win streak to three. The 37-year old number 7 ranked middleweight contender has notable wins over Lyoto Machida, Uriah Hall, Chris Leben and many others.

Who do you think will emerge victorious? Can Kevin Holland ‘blaze’ past Derek Brunson?
